The Project

A Bit of Beetle was created through the commitment of WE RAD—as a benefit corporation—with the aim of promoting sustainability and biodiversity. This project focuses on raising awareness on the disappearance of the Marbled Beetle, a unique insect species, in the city of Florence. This case serves as an emblematic example of biodiversity loss caused by the destruction of natural habitats.

Our mission is clear: use creativity and expertise to raise public awareness about the crucial role of living organisms in maintaining ecological balance. The Marbled Beetle is just one of many species threatened by the invasive impacts of human activity, which alters and destroys their natural environments. The loss of these species is not only detrimental to the creatures themselves but also jeopardizes the well-being of our planet and, inevitably, our own existence.

Every habitat lost and every species driven to extinction represents a challenge to the sustainability of our future. It is our duty to protect these precious ecosystems, not only to preserve biodiversity but also to ensure a livable future for the generations to come.
