January 23 - March 16

A Bit of Beetle” is a temporary exhibition created and organized by WE RAD, under the supervision of the curators of the La Specola Museum, aimed at promoting sustainability and biodiversity. The focus of this project is the progressive and concerning decline of the Marbled Beetle (Coleoptera with unique biological features) in the city of Florence, caused by the destruction of its natural habitat, as seen last spring along the banks of the Arno River.

The project features a large-scale model of the Marbled Beetle installed in the multifunctional hall of the La Specola Museum. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the model through technological devices. A gamification experience designed to convey important information and raise awareness among as many people as possible.
